Police Advanced Drivers and Riders
If you hold a police advanced Class One certificate, you can automatically become a member of RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders.

Once you have joined as a member you will, in three years time, have to take the organisation's triennial re-test unless you can produce a current police advanced refresher test certificate.

You will be aware that from time to time as vacancies occur, we recruit retired and serving officers (agreed with ACPO) to the panel of examiners. If you wish to be considered for any vacancies that should arise in your area please contact RoADAR: furtherinfo@roadar.org

Terms and conditions
Membership of the Association will be granted to Police officers at a discounted rate without test subject to the following conditions:-

a) They hold a Class 1 driving or riding certificate obtained from a United Kingdom Police Driving School.

b) They are serving Police Officers or have retired within two years of the date of application, and are, or have been, employed on duties involving the driving of any Police owned vehicles.

c) They will agree to take triennial refresher tests. A satisfactory test will be necessary to retain Gold grade.

If the above conditions are met, the initial fee will be £17.50. Thereafter the annual subscription will be £20 which includes a contribution towards the cost of the triennial test.
